If your skin becomes irritated while using the cream or gel you should use it less frequently or stop using it for a few days. If irritation persists, consult your doctor. • Metallic taste

Can Anyone Use Rozex?

Rozex gel is not recommended for children or anyone under the age of 18 because of its potency. People who are on a blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants) such as warfarin should not use Rozex. This is because of the small chance it may interfere with this medication. Patients who suffer from blood disorders are also advised not to use Rozex.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it may not be advisable to use Rozex gel unless your doctor considers it essential. Metronidazole, which is the active ingredient in Rozex, enters the bloodstream in small amounts after being applied. Although these amounts are extremely low, it is unknown how this might affect pregnancy or a baby during breastfeeding. Since its safety during pregnancy has not been fully established yet, it is recommended that expecting mothers do not use. If you are planning on having a baby, it is important to inform the GP ahead of your consultation.
